FAQ

Common auto insurance questions.

These answers are general and educational. Actual coverage depends on policy language, state rules, and carrier guidelines.

What is “full coverage”?

Full coverage is an informal phrase. It usually refers to a policy that includes liability plus physical damage coverages like collision and comprehensive, but it does not mean every loss is covered.

Is liability coverage required?

Most states require some form of auto liability coverage or financial responsibility. Required amounts and rules vary by state.

What is a deductible?

A deductible is the portion of a covered claim you may pay before the insurer pays its covered share. Deductibles commonly apply to collision and comprehensive coverage.

Why do rates change?

Rates can change because of driving history, vehicle changes, garaging location, claim activity, policy updates, carrier rating changes, coverage selections, and other factors.

No. Coverage Navigation does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third-party marketers or affiliates.
